A Spoon full of Sugar - Challenge 9

This weeks challenge over at A Spoon full of Sugar was to design a card using a layout that was done by this weeks guest designer Katharina Frei. I used an hanglar image that was kindly stamped for me by Tricia. It was coloured with Prisma pencils and the head, hand and wagon were decoupaged. I then matted it onto Bazzill, with Kay Miller papers, the elements and sentiment are also part of the same set of papers, some gems, sheer Ribbon and a bit of embroidery thread.

My Time to Craft - Challenge 23 - Artfully Asian

I've been blog hopping again, I found another challenge site, whoopee, they so give me an excuse to be creative. This challenge blog is called My Time to Craft. This weeks theme is Artfully Asian, ( well it's almost last weeks now, because it closes tonight at 10pm ). Phew, just about made it. Because I don't have much time, I've done an atc. The image is from a scrapbook sheet called Tags Galore - It's by a company called Designs Galore, I bought this sheet of paper 2 years ago when in Australia, visiting my sis. The Blossom stamp is from Paper Insirations. a couple of eyelets a bit of Ribbon and some gems. All stamped and layered on Bazzill. A real quickie. I won't leave it so late next time.

Distressed Tilda Challenge 28 - Take 2

I was really unhappy with my first attempt at the distressed Tilda, so I've had another go at distressing Tilda for the Magnolia challenge blog.I had a sudden flash of inspiration and remembered back to my school days, in particular my History lesson, when we had to make a scroll and age it, So, I stamped Tilda with Stazon onto watercolour paper, then, I totally colour washed the whole thing with watered down black coffee, filled in small areas with a stronger coffee, then stuck it under the grill. Matted it onto Shabby Princess papers, embellished it with a bit of ribbon, ric rac, gems and eyelets and used my favourite flourish stamp, from the Autumn leves set. I'm as happy as I'm ever going to be doing distressed Tilda and this is my last attempt.

Christening card for Mason

My friend asked me to do her an accordian card, I love doing these - this one is for her nephew Mason, who I met for the first time last week , he's an adorable little chap. These images are from the downloadable range from cuddly buddly. The dotty background is also from a downloadable range from cuddly buddly. Lots of gems ( from my lovely sis in Oz )and some lovely organza ribbon in a pale blue and white. The sentiments are from Greeting card factory and with a bit of tweeking have been made more suitable for Mason.

Engagement card

My friend has just gotten engaged , so I thought the cuddly buddly stamps of Emmy and Kyle would be perfect to use together. The round sentiment stamps and the with love stamp are also cuddly buddly stamps.I added a bit of threaded ribbon through eyelets and a few gems, shock horror no stickles.

Tilda Challenge atc - Bits and Pieces

This is my first go at the Tilda atc challenge. I decided to do something a bit different, I am going to use this as a topper for my Daughter's Birthday card. In the first photo you can see the closed view of the Tilda topper. When you pull the ribbon at the top - the top comes up and the bottom pops out giving your greetings etc. The second and third photo show you the opening views of the topper. It has a mechanism inside the topper which allows this to happen. I also made the mechanism inside the topper, which is very simple and easy to do. I just used some odd bits of paper and flowers for decoration. It has been backed onto Bazzill.

Toadily cool

I made this one for my Son to give to my Grandson for his 3rd Birthday, my Grandson likes Football, Likes Frogs and loves the colour green, he can often be seen hopping around the floor going ribbet-ribbet. So hopefully this one will be a winner, I used pp frog image stamped on Ribbon with Stazon and used a couple of papers from a large block which I bought from my craft club magazine. I also glazed the Frog and Football with a bit of Anita's 3-D clear gloss finish.
