One For The Girls - Challenge 8

This week over at A Spoon Full of Sugar Blog Spot, the challenge is one for the girls. I got a couple of new stamps this morning, so a perfect time to try them out. I stamped Sweet and Sassy by Elizabeth Bell with Stazon, coloured her with Prisma pencils. Mounted her on Bazzill, layered onto a sheet of paper out of a book of papers I got from a craft club. I used Prima flowers, gems and Dovecraft brads to embellish.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge 5

I had to make a card for an older lady friend, so this one came in handy for the Saturday pb challenge. I have stamped a couple of penny black images from the Transparent set " fresh new day " They have been coloured with Prisma pencils, I have used Shabby Princess papers, which seem to be my favourite papers at the moment, Prima flowers, a touch of stickles, gems from my sis and a Dovecraft gem brad. The little bloom stamp is from a set by inkadinkado.

Friday Sketchers 10

Not too much on this week , so I thought I would have another go at a challenge. This is for the Friday sketchers challenge. It was to use a layout which was pre-selected. I used Summer ice cream stamp by Elizabeth Bell which I coloured with Prisma pencils. I matted and layered her on Shabby Princess papers.I used a sentiment out of an Autumn leaves set, Prima flowers, gems from my sis, some embroidery thread which has been taking up room in my sewing box for far too long now and plenty of stickles. After I had matted and layered the image onto the card I thought it looked a bit stark so I gave it an all over light stippling with a Chestnut memories ink pad.

Linda's card layout challenge

I made this one for ny fellow Cuddly Buddly members card challenge. Each month she sets us a new card layout. We can use any papers for background, but the main theme is to be a Cuddly Buddly stamp or image. It's great fun to join in, we have had some really great layouts. I needed a card for a very nice man that I know, who is an older Gentleman. I have used Shabby Princess papers, the flourishes are from an Autumn leaves set - mindy's flowers and the main image is the cheeky chappie Birthday Kyle from Cuddly Buddly, which I have paper pieced. I am really pleased with how this one turned out, so, thanks, Linda for an excellent layout challenge.

Tilda atc challenge- Lavender and Lace

This is my entry for this weeks Tilda atc challenge, which was themed Lavender and Lace - I really enjoy doing these little atc's, I never thought I would do ( but there you go )I have downloaded an image of a Lavender garden from the net - printed it on matte photo paper then layered it onto Bazzill card stock. I have paper pieced and decoupaged Tilda, the flowers that you can see to the left are lace flowers which I cut from a roll then inked them with a purple ink pad and added a gem for the centre. Lots of stickles on the Lavender and Tildas wings.

A spoon full of sugar challenge 5

I noticed this challenge whilst blog hopping and it certainly appealed to me, so, this is my card for the check challenge. Two of the backing papers are from Shabby Princess, the pink check which is closest I can't remember it just from my stash. The image is of the wonderful Emmy from Cuddly Buddly, she's such a sweetie to paper piece, the flowers are prima and the gems from my sis.

Penny Black Saturday challenge 3

I had a quick peek over at the Saturday Penny Black challenge blog this morning as I was awake early. This weeks theme is Pink, Brown and Green, so I had a go and came up with this. I have used brown polka dot backing paper, pink Bazzill and coloured the stamp with my Prisma pencils, I'm still getting to grips with the sansodor and this is the first thing I have done which I've posted, a couple of prima flowers. I thought to myself I really want brown gems - well - then I remembered that the last lot of gems my sis sent for me had some different colours in and guess what - yep - brown gems. I am so easily pleased.

I decided to do something a bit different, I don't use acetate much but thought I would have a go. I have stamped Robbie from the cb stamps, the snail, grass, flowers and ladybirds are also cb stamps. It folds up fairly flat and is able to be put in an envelope.
